My name is Francesco di Bartolo and I was born in Pieve di Cadore (BL), in 1992. I have been living in Gela (CL) until the end of high school in 2010. Then I moved to Pisa (Tuscany). I received the M.S. degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Pisa in 2017 with a thesis about elastography for cancer detection based on ultrasounds with a grade of 105/110. Now I am doing a PhD in Biomedical Engineering at University of Pisa. I am currently working at TeCIP institute on the project DIVINE for the developing of a new generation Optical Coherence Tomography
(OCT). Such project has been carrying on by TeCIP and FTGM (Fondazione Toscana Gabriele Monasterio) whose laboratories are placed in Massa at “Ospedale del cuore”.

My name appears in a couple of publications (the first one is related to my Master Thesis):

  • Andrea Cafarelli, Laure-Anaïs Chanel, Francesco Di Bartolo, Hervé Locteau, Selene Tognarelli, Erik Dumont, Arianna Menciassi. “Ultrasound Acoustic Radiation Force Impulse Imaging for High Intensity Focused Ultrasound Focal Spot Localization”. 40th Annual International Conference of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society.
  • Emanuele Vignali, Nicola Martini, Paola Losi, Katia Capellini, Daniele Della Latta, Francesco Di Bartolo, Luigi Landini, Vincenzo Positano and Simona Celi . “Towards non-invasive assessment of human aortic tissue microstructure: Diffusor Tensor Imaging for collagen fiber detection”.
