Valentina Gemmato was born in Taranto, Italy, on 21 July 1998. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Medical System Engineering in 2020 and her Master’s degree in Medical System Engineering with a specialization in Clinical Engineering in 2023, both from the Polytechnic University of Bari
In June 2023, she won a scholarship by CNIT in Pisa, Italy, to study the application of radar systems in the biomedical field. During this time, she joined the Microwave Photonics Group.
She is currently a Ph.D. student in Emerging Digital Technologies (curriculum in Photonics Technologies) at the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, Pisa, Italy. Her research focuses on the simulation and characterization of photonic integrated circuits for microwave applications.
