Leonardo LEMBO received the M.S. degreee cum laude in telecommunication engineering from the University of Pisa, Italy. He is an Officer of the Italian Navy and since November 2016 he has been working toward the Ph.D. degree in Emerging Digital Technologies-curriculum Photonics at the TeCIP Institute of Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna of Pisa. His research interests include microwave photonics with a particular focus on multiband-multistatic radar and lidar application for target detection and identification and MIMO radar signal processing.

Publications: 1 Analysis of a coherent distributed MIMO photonics-based radar network (IEEE Radar Conference 2018 Submission)

Projects: He is currently involved in the EU project ROBORDER in particular in the design of a photonic multistatic multi-band radar network; for this purpose he has developed a simulator in MATLAB to analyse the behaviour of a radar network in terms of resolution capabilities, radar range and other system performance indicator.

Others: He has good management skills and system engineering expertise acquired during his previous working experiences. –
